Mission Impact

Our Racial Justice Initiative is entrenched in every program at YWCA Lake County as well as a standing program. We provide participatory workshops, group and community conversations to build a common language and framework in order to discuss race. By exploring this issue, we are able to increase awareness, build trust, break down misconceptions, and build mutual respect and understanding within our communities.

YWCA Lake County knows racism is a root cause for all of the programs and services we offer. Our efforts are intentional, as we continually build collaboration with efforts ingrained in the community to create structural and long-standing change. Please join YWCA Lake County in eliminating racism.

A stronger woman stands up for everyone.” This… Continue Reading Women’s History Month
