The Early Childhood Education & Business Forum on May 2, 2020 at College of Lake County’s Grayslake Campus, 19351 West Washington Street, Grayslake, IL.
This is a one-day comprehensive Early Childhood Education (ECE) training and business opportunity for community members seeking to fine-tune and enhance their early childhood education knowledge and business acumen. The day will feature continental breakfast, lunch, several instructor-led workshops, vendors featuring Early Childhood Education products, and networking opportunities. The program content feature multi-faceted subject matter that inspires professional growth in the Early Childhood Education industry.

Radon Awareness in RHA’s on hour educational program developed for childcare providers. The program aims to help daycare providers understand what radon is, how it impacts health, and how to properly test daycare facilities. Each participant of Radon Awareness will receive a free radon test kit. - Upping Your Math: Supporting an Early Foundation of Math Learning in Young ChildrenIn this session, we will discuss our own biases, attitudes and beliefs about math and how the Early Math Big Ideas can provide positive shifts in our learning and understanding of math concepts.
- Creating a Classroom Mini Art Studio
Inspired by the work of children in Reggio Emilia Schools, creating a mini art studio in the class room can be a wonderful addition to any preschool setting. This presentation will cover the why’s and how’s of creating and setting up a classroom art studio, as well as examples of materials usage in the 3-5 year old setting. - Business Financial Basics: What I Wish I’d Knew
Budgets, expenses, income, tracking, etc, there is so much to do and learn when you are in business. This session will equip you with the tools and tips to avoid the pitfalls entrepreneurs make. - See, Touch and Learn: Multi level Manipulative Learning Activities

Refunds
Registrants may transfer attendance to another person. NO REFUNDS will be given. Submit transfer requests to fergusonm@ywcalakecountyil.org by April 1, 2020; provide your name and the name of the person attending in your place. No transfers will be accepted after April 1, 2020.
All registrant accounts must be paid in full three weeks (21 days) prior to the start of event. Registrants with outstanding balances after payment is due in full are subject to being removed from the event roster without refund. Please contact Melissa Ferguson at fergusonm@ywcalakecountyil.org prior to this deadline if extenuating circumstances prevent you from completing a payment.
We reserve the right to cancel any event due to low enrollment; in such a case, all fees paid will be refunded.
