Donna Kopera is a healthcare business development leader at Point B Consulting focused on helping early stage life science companies transition from product development to commercial operations.
She began her career as a Manufacturing and Distribution Engineer at SC Johnson. Donna then joined Baxter Healthcare where she developed a strong cross-functional background by leading teams across multiple business units, focused on business development, marketing, commercial operations, acquisition integrations and project leadership. She was appointed the North American PMO leader as Baxter spun-off the biopharma business, Baxalta. In this role, she oversaw cross-functional teams tasked with establishing two separate, publicly-traded companies. Donna then joined Baxalta and was appointed to establish a global marketing services team.
Donna chartered and co-led the first employee resource group at Baxter focused on developing and advancing women. She was previously the Chicago Chapter President for Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and currently serves as an advisor to the board. In addition, Donna serves on the Northern Division Board of Junior Achievement of Chicago.
Donna holds an MBA (Marketing and Finance) from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. She is married with two adult children.
